Binorum SuperStrong M48 M4/3 Mirrorless Camera Photo Adapter

The Binorum SuperStrong M48 M4/3 photo adapter (MFT, M4/3, Micro Four Thirds, Mikro 4/3) is designed to connect Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mirrorless cameras to telescopes equipped with the standard M48x0.75 thread. Whether you are capturing the Moon, planets, or deep-sky objects, this adapter gives you a solid and reliable connection between your camera and your telescope's focuser or accessories.

Micro Four Thirds - A Popular Format for Astrophotography

The Micro Four Thirds system is used in mirrorless cameras by Olympus (OM System), Panasonic Lumix, Blackmagic and several other manufacturers. MFT cameras are widely appreciated by astrophotographers for their compact size, relatively low noise at higher ISO settings, and the large variety of available models. The M48 thread - also known as the 2″ filter thread - is the most common standard found on quality focusers, field flatteners, reducers, and T-rings used in amateur astronomy and astrophotography.

The Binorum SuperStrong M48 M4/3 adapter bridges these two worlds, allowing you to attach your Micro Four Thirds camera directly to any accessory or telescope component with an M48x0.75 thread - without the need for additional rings or workarounds.

This list covers the most common models available at the time of writing. If your camera uses the Micro Four Thirds mount and is not listed here, it is very likely compatible as well - the MFT bayonet mount is standardized across all manufacturers using this system.

Simple Connection, Reliable Results

Using the adapter is straightforward. You attach it to your camera's MFT bayonet mount just like any regular lens, and then screw the M48 end into your telescope's focuser, field flattener, or other accessory with M48x0.75 thread. The result is a stable, backlash-free connection that holds your camera securely during long astrophotography sessions. A firm and precise fit between camera and telescope is essential for sharp astrophotos - even the slightest movement during an exposure will blur fine detail in planetary or deep-sky images.

The adapter introduces no optical elements, so there is no effect on focal length, image quality, or light transmission. What you see through your telescope's focuser is exactly what your camera sensor captures.
