Bresser 5-in-1 Weather Station with Outdoor Sensor

The Bresser 5-in-1 weather station combines a compact indoor display unit with a multifunctional outdoor sensor that measures five key meteorological parameters in one device. Wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, relative humidity and rainfall are all captured by a single sensor and transmitted wirelessly to the base station, where they are displayed alongside indoor climate data, a 12-hour weather forecast and a range of calculated values. Everything needed for installation is included in the box - a tube mounting bracket, screws and a desk stand - so the station can be set up and reading data within minutes of unpacking.

5-in-1 outdoor sensor

The outdoor sensor handles all five measurements from one compact unit, eliminating the need for multiple separate devices around the garden or on the balcony. Wind speed is measured by a classic anemometer cup assembly and classified on the Beaufort scale, making it easy to interpret at a glance. Wind direction is reported as a compass bearing. Temperature and humidity are measured simultaneously, and the rain gauge records cumulative rainfall with historical totals available for the current day, week and month. The sensor transmits on 868 MHz with a range of up to 150 metres, providing reliable signal through walls and across larger properties.

Display and forecasting

The base station displays current indoor and outdoor values on a backlit amber LED screen with a 14.1 cm diagonal. Alongside live readings, the station maintains a 24-hour history of atmospheric pressure and uses the pressure trend to calculate a local weather forecast for the next 12 hours, shown as one of six weather symbols. This type of locally calculated forecast is often more accurate for your specific location than generic regional forecasts from external services, as it is based on actual pressure changes measured at your home.

The display also shows calculated comfort values - heat index (perceived temperature accounting for humidity) and dew point - which are useful indicators of how conditions actually feel outdoors and whether condensation or frost risk is relevant.

Alerts and indoor climate indicator

User-defined minimum and maximum threshold alerts can be set for any measured parameter. When a value crosses the set limit, the station signals the alert both audibly and visually. A dedicated frost warning activates automatically when outdoor temperature drops below -3 °C, giving timely notice to protect plants, vehicles or outdoor equipment.

An indoor climate comfort indicator uses a symbol to show whether the temperature and humidity combination inside the home falls within a healthy range - a practical feature for households with children, elderly occupants or anyone sensitive to air quality. The recommended indoor relative humidity range for human comfort and health is generally 40-60%, and the indicator helps you monitor whether ventilation or humidification is needed without having to interpret raw numbers.

Radio-controlled clock and additional functions

The station receives the DCF77 radio time signal, synchronising the clock and calendar automatically within a few minutes of switching on. No manual time setting is required and the clock corrects itself for daylight saving time changes. Current moon phase is displayed alongside the time and date. An alarm clock with snooze function rounds out the practical daily use features, making the station equally useful as a bedside or kitchen unit.

Installation options

The base station can be placed on a desk or shelf using the included stand, or mounted on a wall. The outdoor sensor attaches to any round tube or pole with a diameter between 25 and 33 mm using the included bracket and screws - a standard garden fence post, balcony railing or purpose-made mast all work equally well. The sensor should be positioned in an open location away from walls and obstructions for accurate wind and rainfall measurements, ideally at a height of 1.5-2 metres above ground level.
