The Bresser MeteoTemp BF is a compact home weather station combining a multicolour backlit display with a wireless outdoor temperature and humidity sensor. Alongside the standard functions expected from a modern weather station - indoor and outdoor temperature, humidity, weather forecast icons and a DCF radio-controlled clock - the MeteoTemp BF adds a practical mould risk alert that monitors indoor climate conditions and warns when humidity levels create conditions favourable for mould growth. This makes it a particularly useful device not just for weather enthusiasts but for anyone who wants to maintain a healthy indoor environment.

Indoor and outdoor climate monitoring

The base station measures indoor temperature and humidity continuously, while the included wireless sensor extends monitoring to a balcony, garden, garage or any other room in the house. Both temperature and humidity are displayed with trend indicators showing whether values are rising, falling or stable - a quick glance tells you not just what the current reading is but where it is heading. Heat index and dew point are calculated automatically from the combined temperature and humidity data. Heat index expresses how conditions actually feel in warm, humid weather, while dew point is a reliable indicator of moisture content in the air and condensation risk on cold surfaces.

The system supports up to three wireless sensors simultaneously, making it possible to monitor several rooms or locations at once. Additional compatible sensors are available as accessories in the Bresser range, allowing the system to grow as needed without replacing the base station.

Mould risk alert - four warning levels

One of the most distinctive features of the MeteoTemp BF is its four-level mould risk indicator. Rather than simply showing a comfort icon, the station continuously evaluates the indoor temperature and humidity combination and reports the mould risk as none, low, medium or high. Mould growth in homes requires a combination of sufficient moisture, moderate temperature and stagnant air - conditions that are common in poorly ventilated bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchens, particularly during winter when windows are kept closed. The mould risk alert gives early warning before visible mould develops, allowing timely ventilation to prevent the problem before it starts. This feature is particularly valuable for families with young children, elderly occupants or anyone with respiratory sensitivities for whom mould exposure poses a genuine health risk.

The indoor climate comfort indicator provides an additional layer of monitoring, giving a general assessment of whether indoor conditions are within a healthy and comfortable range. Together, these two features make the MeteoTemp BF a practical health-oriented tool as much as a weather instrument.

Weather forecast and display

The 14.5 cm diagonal multicolour display shows current indoor and outdoor values in a clear layout with a backlit screen for comfortable reading in any lighting conditions. Weather forecast icons show the expected conditions for the coming hours based on pressure trend analysis. Maximum and minimum values for all measured parameters are stored and can be recalled at any time. High and low threshold alerts can be configured to trigger an audible alarm when any measured value exceeds a set limit - useful for frost warnings, overheating alerts or humidity alarms.

DCF radio clock, moon phase and alarm

The station receives the DCF77 radio time signal and sets the clock, date and day of week automatically within minutes of being switched on. Daylight saving time transitions are applied without manual adjustment. Current moon phase is displayed alongside the time - a feature appreciated by gardeners, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who follows the lunar calendar. An alarm clock with snooze function completes the practical everyday features of the station.

Wireless outdoor sensor

The included wireless sensor measures outdoor temperature and humidity and features its own integrated display showing current values directly on the sensor unit - useful when the sensor is placed in a location that is checked regularly, such as a greenhouse or utility room. The sensor is rated IP44, meaning it is protected against splashing water from any direction and is fully suitable for outdoor use on a balcony or in a sheltered garden position. It can be placed on a flat surface using the integrated stand or mounted on a wall. Transmission range reaches up to 80 metres on the 433 MHz frequency.
