The Bresser ClearView WiFi is a comprehensive home weather station combining a large 8.3-inch TRUE BLACK colour display with a multifunctional 7-in-1 outdoor sensor and built-in WiFi connectivity. The outdoor sensor measures seven meteorological parameters from a single compact unit and transmits data wirelessly to the base station on 868 MHz. WiFi integration allows local weather data to be shared with major online platforms and enables internet time synchronisation and remote firmware updates - making this one of the most connected home weather stations available at its price level.

7-in-1 outdoor sensor

The included outdoor sensor captures all the key parameters needed for a complete picture of local conditions: wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, relative humidity, rainfall, UV radiation level and light intensity. Having UV and light intensity data alongside conventional meteorological values is a genuine advantage - UV index is directly relevant for sun protection decisions, while light intensity data helps understand solar energy availability and plant growing conditions. Wind direction is reported with 16-compass-point precision rather than the 8-point resolution found on simpler stations.

The sensor transmits on 868 MHz with a range of up to 150 metres, providing reliable signal penetration through walls across typical residential properties. Up to seven additional wireless sensors (sold separately, Art. No. 7009999) can be added to the system, allowing coverage of multiple outdoor locations or monitoring of specialised parameters such as soil temperature and humidity or pool water temperature.

8.3-inch TRUE BLACK colour display

The base station features a large 8.3-inch TRUE BLACK colour display measuring 19.2 x 9.3 cm, presenting current and historical data in a clear, organised layout. Three brightness levels - high, low and off - allow the display to be adapted to ambient lighting conditions and to serve as a subtle night-time clock without disturbing sleep. The station stores up to 24 hours of measurement history internally and uses pressure trend data to calculate a locally derived 12-hour weather forecast shown as one of six weather symbols: sunny, partly cloudy, overcast, rain, thunderstorms or snow showers.

The display shows all measured and calculated values simultaneously, including apparent temperature (heat index and wind chill), dew point, barometric pressure, wind gust and average wind speed, and hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and cumulative rainfall totals. Time, calendar date, day of week in seven available languages and moon phase complete the display.

WiFi connectivity and online weather platforms

The built-in WiFi module connects the station to your home network, enabling several important functions. Time is synchronised automatically over the internet, eliminating the need for DCF radio signal reception and keeping the clock accurate regardless of location. Firmware updates are delivered over WiFi, ensuring the station benefits from future software improvements without manual intervention. The station supports WPA3 security encryption for a secure network connection.

Local weather data can be shared with three major online weather platforms - Weather Underground, Weathercloud and AWEKAS (AWEKAS integration is available for EU customers only). Contributing to these networks adds your measurements to the global network of personal weather stations, and in return you gain access to your own data from anywhere in the world via a web browser or the respective platform's interface. For users who want to integrate weather data into a smart home system, temperature, humidity, soil and pool temperature readings can be forwarded to compatible home automation platforms.

Alerts, indoor climate and additional functions

Customisable minimum and maximum threshold alerts can be set for any measured parameter. When a value crosses the set limit the station triggers both an audible alarm and an LED indicator. A dedicated frost and freeze warning activates automatically when outdoor temperature approaches -3 °C, providing timely notice to protect plants, vehicles and outdoor installations.

An indoor climate comfort indicator monitors the combination of indoor temperature and humidity and provides a simple graphical assessment of whether conditions fall within a healthy comfort range. This is particularly relevant for households with children, elderly occupants or anyone with respiratory sensitivity, where maintaining relative humidity between approximately 40% and 60% contributes meaningfully to health and wellbeing. The station also displays moon phases - a feature appreciated by gardeners, astronomers and anyone who simply enjoys following the lunar cycle. An alarm clock with snooze function completes the practical everyday features.
