The Kienzle Home is a stylish colour weather station that brings both practical function and a touch of modern design to any room. Its most distinctive feature is a built-in projector that displays the current time and temperature - indoor or outdoor - directly onto your wall or ceiling. No need to reach for your phone in the morning: a single glance at the ceiling tells you what time it is and what the weather is like outside.
The large colour display shows all key data at a glance - current indoor and outdoor temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure and a graphical weather forecast. Press a button to recall the maximum and minimum recorded values for temperature and humidity, which is useful for monitoring overnight temperature drops or tracking the humidity levels in a room over time.
Indoor Climate Monitoring and Mould Prevention
Beyond simple temperature readings, the Kienzle Home actively helps you maintain a healthy indoor environment. A comfort indicator (shown as a smiley face icon) gives an instant visual summary of whether your indoor climate is within a comfortable range. More importantly, the station calculates a three-level mould risk index based on the combination of temperature and relative humidity - an early warning that gives you time to ventilate before condensation and mould become a problem. This feature is particularly valuable in bedrooms, bathrooms and basement spaces where humidity tends to build up unnoticed.
Frost Warning
When the outdoor temperature falls between -1.0 °C and 2.9 °C, a snowflake symbol starts flashing on the display. This frost alert gives you timely notice to protect plants, cover a car windscreen or simply dress appropriately - before stepping out into freezing conditions.
Radio-Controlled Time and Dual Alarm
The station receives the DCF77 radio time signal, which automatically sets the correct date and time for Central European Time. For other time zones the time can also be set manually. Two independent alarms with snooze function can be programmed - a practical feature for households where two people start their day at different times. And since the projection shows the outdoor temperature the moment you wake up, choosing what to wear in the morning takes only a second.
Wireless Outdoor Sensor
The included outdoor thermo-hygro sensor transmits temperature and humidity wirelessly with a range of up to 80 m, making it easy to place outside a window or on a balcony without running cables. The sensor runs on 2x AAA batteries (not included). The base station can be powered either by AAA batteries or by the included mains adapter, so it keeps working even during power outages.
