Bresser Solar Eclipse solar viewing glasses - set of 3
Planning to watch a solar eclipse, a planetary transit, or simply observe our nearest star? Then you need equipment you can truly trust. Bresser Solar Eclipse glasses are not just paper glasses - they are certified optical aids featuring proven Baader film, meeting the most stringent international safety standards. And with this value pack of three, you have everything covered for the whole family or a group of friends who want to enjoy the spectacle together.
Baader film - the heart of the glasses
The core of these glasses is a special Baader astro film - a material well known to astronomers around the world. This film reduces the intensity of solar radiation to one hundred-thousandth of its original value (factor 100,000x) and at the same time effectively blocks harmful UV and IR radiation. The result is a clear, natural yellow image of the Sun that is comfortable for the eye and faithfully renders the solar disk. Technically minded observers will appreciate that the glasses comply with the EN ISO 12312-2:2015 standard and are independently tested by ICS INC. laboratories in the USA, where they are also manufactured.
What can you observe?
Bresser Solar Eclipse glasses are designed primarily for direct visual observation of the Sun. They allow you to watch:
- Total, annular and partial solar eclipses
- Larger sunspots during periods of increased solar activity
- Rare planetary transits - such as Venus or Mercury crossing the solar disk
Thanks to their sturdy construction, the glasses are suitable for repeated use, so they will serve you reliably at the next astronomical event as well.
Ready to use straight out of the box
Bresser Solar Eclipse solar viewing glasses come fully assembled - no assembly or film insertion required. This is a practical advantage over kits where you have to install the film into a paper frame yourself: you save time and eliminate the risk of an error during preparation that could compromise the safety of your observation. Simply unpack the glasses and go watch the Sun.
Safety instructions
These glasses are intended exclusively for direct visual observation of the Sun with the naked eye. Please read the following instructions carefully before use:
- Do not use in combination with binoculars, telescopes, cameras or any other optical instruments - risk of irreversible eye damage.
- Before each use, inspect the film for damage (tears, holes). Do not use damaged glasses.
- Do not observe continuously for more than 3 minutes at a time.
- These glasses are not a toy - adult supervision and proper instruction are required when used by children.
- Do not use after eye surgery or during an eye infection.
