Optical design and construction

The eyepiece is built on a classic four-element optical scheme arranged in two groups - exactly what you expect from a Super Plössl design. This symmetrical construction, consisting of two symmetrically arranged achromatic doublets, provides excellent correction of chromatic aberration and a flat field of view. The 52° apparent field of view is the standard for this type of eyepiece - it offers comfortable viewing and a sufficient overview even at high magnifications.

All optical surfaces are treated with multi-layer anti-reflection coatings that minimize unwanted reflections and light loss, keeping the image bright and contrasty even on more demanding objects.

Performance and compatibility
