Binorum UHC 2 Ultra High Contrast Nebula Filter Binorum UHC 2″ Ultra High Contrast Nebula Filter The Essential Tool for Deep-Sky Observation The Binorum UHC 2″ filter stands as the most popular filter choice among amateur astronomers for observing planetary and emission nebulae. This specialized optical accessory transforms deep-sky observation by selectively enhancing the visibility of nebular structures while suppressing unwanted background light that diminishes contrast and obscures faint celestial details. Advanced Selective Wavelength Transmission The UHC (Ultra High Contrast) filter employs precision optical coatings engineered to transmit specific wavelengths critical to nebula observation - OIII (doubly ionized oxygen at 496nm and 501nm), H-alpha (656nm), and H-beta (486nm)...

Binorum DarkSky 2″ Light Pollution Filter
Binorum DarkSky 2 Light Pollution Filter Binorum DarkSky 2″ Light Pollution Filter Astronomical observations demand dark skies free from light pollution - only then can the mysteries of the universe reveal themselves to the observer. The revolutionary Binorum DarkSky 2″ filter delivers exactly such skies by limiting the interference from street lighting and reducing the background glow of the night sky, allowing details of observed objects to emerge clearly. Thanks to the filter's selective transmission properties, contrast of low-contrast objects is significantly enhanced. You can now observe much more structural detail on Jupiter's cloud bands and intricate features across the lunar surface. The filter dramatically improves...

Omegon Panorama II 21mm 100° 2″ eyepiece

If you are looking for an eyepiece that will truly immerse you in the night sky, the Omegon Panorama II 21mm is exactly what you need. A wide-angle eyepiece with a 100° apparent field of view offers one of the most expansive views any astronomer could wish for - nebulae, star clusters and the sweeping structures of galaxies unfold before you in all their glory, with no sense of peering through a keyhole. The Panorama II series from Omegon is designed for demanding astronomers who refuse to compromise between observing comfort and optical quality.

Optical design

At the heart of the eyepiece is a 7-element optical system with multi-layer anti-reflection coatings on all optical surfaces. Light transmission is maximised as a result, and image contrast remains high even when observing faint deep-sky objects. What truly stands out, however, is the sharpness of the image right to the very edges of the field of view - a quality that is far from guaranteed in wide-angle eyepieces with such a large apparent field. The Omegon Panorama II 21mm is fully compatible with fast telescopes at f/4, where most cheaper wide-angle eyepieces fall short. This makes it a versatile choice for owners of Dobsonians, Newtonians and short-focal-length refractors alike.

Comfort and ergonomics

The 20mm eye relief is exceptionally comfortable - even observers who wear glasses can keep them on and still see the entire field of view without dark vignetting at the edges. The fold-down eyecup makes it easy to adjust the eye distance for both spectacle wearers and those without glasses. A filter thread is included as standard - the 2″ filter thread allows UHC, OIII or other astronomical filters to be attached directly to the eyepiece.

Build quality and compatibility

The eyepiece body is built robustly with real field conditions in mind. It is waterproof, so you need not worry about morning dew or light rain. The 2″ barrel ensures compatibility with the vast majority of modern telescopes fitted with a 2″ focuser.

Ideal applications

The Omegon Panorama II 21mm is an excellent choice for astronomers who focus on deep-sky observation - large emission nebulae, open star clusters or sprawling galaxies, where a wide field of view delivers a truly immersive experience. At the same time, thanks to its long focal length and comfortable eye relief, it makes a favourite "starting" eyepiece for survey observations - finding an object with a 21mm focal length and 100° field is quick and easy. Thanks to its compatibility with f/4 and faster telescopes, it meets the needs of the great majority of astronomers, whether observing from the city or under a dark sky.

About the Omegon Panorama II series

Omegon is a brand with a long-standing focus on astronomical equipment for both demanding amateurs and professionals. The Panorama II series was developed in response to demand for an eyepiece that combines an extremely wide apparent field with genuine optical quality - not just on paper, but in real observing conditions. Solid construction, durable build, rich anti-reflection coatings and an accessible price for a premium-class eyepiece make the Omegon Panorama II 21mm a piece of kit you will reach for on every clear night.
