National Geographic Tele-Micro Set - telescope 50/360 AZ and microscope 40x-640x
Looking for a gift or a starter kit for a young explorer who wants to study both the night sky and the hidden world of microorganisms? The National Geographic Tele-Micro Set with a 50/360 telescope and a 40x-640x microscope is exactly what you need. In one package you get a full-featured achromatic refractor on a stable tripod and a compact biological microscope with accessories - everything ready to use straight out of the box.
Telescope - achromatic refractor 50/360
The optical core of the telescope is an achromatic refractor with a 50 mm aperture and a focal length of 360 mm. Achromatic correction eliminates colour fringing (chromatic aberration), so the image of planets, the Moon or star clusters is sharp and contrastive even at higher magnifications.
The set includes two eyepieces in the basic configuration:
- 20 mm eyepiece - provides 18x magnification, wider field of view, ideal for finding objects in the sky
- 12.5 mm eyepiece - provides 29x magnification, suited for detailed observation of the Moon and bright planets
The set also includes a diagonal mirror, which allows comfortable viewing in a vertical or angled direction without straining your neck - particularly useful when observing objects high above the horizon. The telescope tube is mounted on an altazimuth mount that allows movement in two axes (horizontal and vertical) and is very intuitive for visual observation. The lightweight aluminium tripod provides a stable base and is easy to carry.
Biological microscope - magnification 40x to 640x
The included biological microscope is designed for studying transparent specimens in transmitted light. A rotating nosepiece carries three objective lenses with magnification values of 4x, 10x and 40x, which - combined with the eyepieces - provide a total magnification range of 40x to 640x. Switching between magnifications is simple: just rotate the nosepiece to the desired objective. The stage is equipped with two clips to hold the specimen securely in place during observation.
Illumination is provided by an LED lamp powered by two AA batteries (1.5 V) - batteries are not included in the package.
Ready to use immediately
A major advantage of this set is that it includes ready-made microscope slides and basic tools for preparing your own specimens. This means you can start microscoping right after unpacking, without needing to purchase any additional equipment.
Two instruments, one set - astronomy and biology together
The National Geographic set for astronomers and nature explorers offers a unique combination of two instruments in one package at an attractive price. You do not have to choose between astronomy and biology - with this set you can observe the Moon and its craters in the evening and study the cellular structure of leaves or tiny organisms from a drop of water the very next morning. The complete accessories included in the package mean you will not need to buy anything extra.
This set is an ideal gift for schoolchildren, students and adult beginners who want to have the right tools for both worlds - the universe and the microworld.
