Omegon Pro PhotoScope 72/432 ED OTA Apochromatic Refractor Telescope
The Omegon Pro PhotoScope 72/432 ED OTA is a compact apochromatic refractor that covers three roles at once: an astronomical telescope, a nature-observation instrument, and a super-telephoto lens with a focal length of 432 mm. With a 72 mm aperture, FPL-51 optical glass, and a focal ratio of f/6, it delivers sharp, high-contrast images right to the edge of the field of view - free from the colour fringing typical of standard achromatic refractors.
Precise focusing with a helical focuser
Focusing is handled by a helical mechanism with a large focusing ring. It allows fast coarse focusing and fine adjustment at a 1:10 ratio. The internal focusing design also gives better protection against dust and moisture. Eyepieces and camera adapters connect via a standard 2″ fitting. A 1/4″ thread on the tube lets you mount the scope on a tripod or use it as a telephoto lens.
Three instruments in one
Add an Amici prism and the telescope instantly becomes a comfortable spotting scope with an upright, correct-orientation image - ideal for watching wildlife or boats, where an astronomically-oriented image would be inconvenient. The whole instrument weighs 2.06 kg and comes with a foam-lined carry case, so you can take it on a trip or to a photography location without any trouble.
The Omegon Pro PhotoScope apochromatic refractor handles the Moon, planets, faint nebulae, and galaxies with ease, and works equally well for landscape and wildlife photography. The only exception is direct solar observation - this is only safe with a suitable solar filter. Without one, the instrument must not be pointed at the Sun.
One telescope for astronomy, nature and photography
The Pro APO series is designed for those who want one instrument for multiple disciplines without compromising on image quality. The foam-lined carry case is included in the box.
