Artesky Super ED 15mm 60° 1.25″ Eyepiece
Many eyepieces suffer from blurring and distortion towards the edge of the field of view. The Artesky Super ED eyepiece series solves this by including an ED element - the same principle used in apochromatic refractors. The result is high colour purity and an image free from geometric distortion, from the centre all the way to the edge of the field of view.
Wide field of view - no tunnel effect
The 60-degree apparent field of view is noticeably wider than that of a classic Plössl eyepiece. When you look through this eyepiece, there is no uncomfortable tunnel effect. Your eye can move freely across the image, making longer observing sessions naturally comfortable. The 16mm eye relief is also a real advantage for observers who wear glasses.
Fully multi-coated optics
The six-element optical design features multi-layer anti-reflection coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces. These coatings suppress unwanted reflections and increase light transmission, so the image stays bright and clear.
The adjustable eyecup extends by twisting, letting every observer set the ideal eye distance quickly and easily. The eyepiece also has a standard filter thread for 1.25-inch astronomical filters, including Moon filters.
Who is this eyepiece for?
- Observers who want a comfortable, wide field of view without edge distortion
- Glasses wearers who need generous eye relief
- Anyone looking to upgrade from a basic Plössl eyepiece
- Users of both refractors and reflector telescopes

Why choose the Artesky Super ED series?
Most affordable eyepieces use standard optical glass. The Artesky Super ED series uses extra-low dispersion (ED) glass to reduce colour fringing - a problem that becomes especially visible at higher magnifications and near bright objects. The combination of ED glass and fully multi-coated optics puts this eyepiece in a class above standard Plössl designs, at a price that remains accessible for beginners and intermediate observers alike.
