The Bresser NightExplorer 15x70 are powerful astronomy binoculars designed for both night sky observation and daytime nature watching. The large 70mm objective lenses gather exceptional amounts of light, making it easy to spot faint objects such as nebulae, star clusters, and planets. The 15x magnification reveals rich detail on distant targets - and the 77-metre field of view at 1,000 metres gives you a comfortable, wide view of the sky or landscape.

High-Quality Optics

The optical system uses premium BaK-4 barium crown glass prisms and is treated with a fully multi-coated (FMC) anti-reflection coating across all lens surfaces. This maximises light transmission and reduces unwanted reflections to a minimum. The characteristic green tint of the coating is a reliable sign of quality glass - you will notice the difference most when observing at dusk or in full darkness.

Each eyepiece contains five lenses arranged in three groups. This design produces a sharp, high-contrast image right to the edges of the field of view - no soft corners, no colour fringing.

Individual Focuser System

The NightExplorer 15x70 uses individual focuser adjustment on each eyepiece separately. For astronomy, this is a real advantage. Focus both eyepieces once to infinity, and you can spend the whole night observing without touching the focus again. For nature watching at closer distances, the minimum focus distance is 10 metres.

The dioptre correction range of +/-8 dioptres lets you fine-tune each eyepiece independently. This is especially useful if your left and right eyes have different vision - no glasses needed.

Comfortable to Use

The fold-down rubber eyecups make the binoculars equally comfortable for spectacle wearers and those without glasses. You can set the exact eye relief to match your needs and see the full field of view without any cut-off at the edges.

The body has a full rubber armour finish that gives a secure, non-slip grip - even on cold nights or in wet conditions. The ergonomic shape fits naturally in both hands.

Waterproof and Fog-Proof

The NightExplorer 15x70 carries IPX6 waterproof protection - it withstands rain, mist, and splashing water without letting moisture inside. The internal optics are argon-filled, which prevents internal fogging when temperatures change rapidly between indoors and outdoors. The aluminium and plastic body with rubber armour resists knocks and rough handling in the field.

Tripod and Carry Case Included

At 15x magnification, hand-holding binoculars becomes very difficult - any small movement causes a noticeably shaky image. The included lightweight aluminium tripod with a ball head solves this immediately. It holds the binoculars steady for relaxed, comfortable viewing of both horizontal and vertical targets.

Both the binoculars and tripod come packed in a padded carry backpack that protects the equipment during transport and makes it easy to take everything with you on longer trips.
