Clear, sharp images in any light
Achromatic objective lenses and eyepieces work together with BaK-4 optical glass prisms to produce a sharp image with minimal chromatic distortion. Omegon MC multi-coating on all optical surfaces increases light transmission, so the image looks crisp and colours appear true to life. The 8x magnification, 25 mm objective diameter and 3.1 mm exit pupil deliver plenty of light for daytime use. The minimum focus distance is 2 m. The field of view reaches 6.8 degrees - that is 357 m at a distance of 1,000 m.
Built for outdoor use
The Omegon Blackstar 2.0 is waterproof, so rain and splashing water are not a problem. You will not need to scramble for cover halfway through a walk. The rubberised body sits comfortably in the hand and absorbs knocks. Twist-up eyecups let you set the ideal eye relief in seconds - they work equally well with or without glasses. Focusing is handled by the central wheel, with dioptre correction on the right eyepiece.

Who are these binoculars for?
The Blackstar 2.0 8x25 is an excellent choice for travel, sport and theatre. However, the manufacturer does not recommend this model for astronomy, hunting, sailing or dedicated birdwatching - for those purposes, a model with a larger objective lens will serve you better.
