Omegon Nightstar 25x100 Binoculars
The Omegon Nightstar 25x100 binoculars are powerful, large-aperture binoculars built primarily for nature observation - yet they deliver bright, high-contrast images during wide-field astronomy sessions too. They combine a robust construction with optical performance that any observer working in low-light conditions will appreciate.
Outstanding light collection
The 100mm objective lens gathers 204 times more light than the dark-adapted human eye (based on a 7mm exit pupil). The 4mm exit pupil passes a bright, highly contrasted image to your eyes - exactly what you need at dusk, when the light fades quickly. Oversized BaK4 prisms produce an evenly illuminated, wide field of view with no dark vignetting at the edges.
Fully coated optics and comfortable eye relief
All optical surfaces carry anti-reflection coatings that minimise light loss at every interface. The eyepieces provide 18mm of eye relief, so observers who wear glasses can see the full field of view without removing them before each look.
Built for use in the field
The central body section is reinforced and features a built-in metal tripod adapter, allowing secure, balanced mounting on any standard tripod. Each eyepiece focuses independently, so every observer can compensate for the difference in sharpness between their right and left eye. The impact-resistant construction protects the focusing mechanism even when the binoculars take an unexpected knock.
Waterproof and nitrogen-filled
The body is made from a durable aluminium alloy. It is waterproof and nitrogen-filled, so the optics will not fog up during sudden changes in temperature or humidity. These are binoculars built for long-term use in demanding conditions.
Versatile performance, surprisingly low weight
Despite their performance, the Nightstar 25x100 is one of the lighter options in its class. At 3.35kg, the weight is impressively low for 100mm binoculars. In nature, you can use them to watch deer at the edge of a forest in the early morning half-light, chamois disappearing into rocky terrain, or ships on the sea horizon. Large-aperture astronomy binoculars in this format open up views of nebulae, star clusters and planetary objects that smaller optics simply cannot reveal.
