Bresser 93% Dielectrical 2″ Diagonal Mirror
A dielectric coating with 93% reflectivity delivers a noticeably brighter and more contrasty image than standard aluminium or silver coatings. The difference is most visible when observing planets and the Moon, where every percentage point of transmitted light counts.
What this diagonal is designed for
The Bresser 2″ diagonal mirror fits refractors, Schmidt-Cassegrain and Maksutov telescopes with a 2″ (50.8 mm) focuser barrel. Both the input and output barrel diameter are 2″, so the diagonal makes full use of the light-gathering potential of wide-field, large-diameter eyepieces.
Flat-edge barrel clamping
The eyepiece holder uses a flat-edge compression ring instead of a single thumbscrew. The ring presses evenly around the full circumference of the eyepiece barrel, eliminating the risk of scratching the chrome surface. Your eyepieces stay in perfect condition even after years of regular use.

Who is this diagonal for?
This diagonal suits anyone who wants to get the most from a quality eyepiece collection. The 93% dielectric coating is a significant step up from entry-level aluminium mirrors and makes a real difference at the eyepiece - especially during planetary and lunar sessions where image brightness and colour contrast matter most.
Why choose a dielectric diagonal?
- 93% reflectivity - more light reaches your eye compared to standard coatings
- Sharper colour contrast on planets and the Moon
- Full 2″ barrel - compatible with the widest range of eyepieces
- Flat-edge clamping ring - no scratches on your eyepiece barrels
- Bresser quality - reliable performance over many years of use
