Sharp stars all the way to the edge
Field curvature is one of the most common weaknesses in astronomy eyepieces. Stars near the edge of the field lose their shape and appear blurred. Omegon solves this at the design level. The optical system uses five to six lenses to keep the image sharp and even across the whole field. Multi-coated optics reduce light loss and unwanted reflections, so colours look natural and contrast stays high. When you look at Jupiter, you will see not just the colour bands but also their fine detail.
A wider view of deep-sky objects
The Omegon Flat Field 8mm eyepiece offers a 60° apparent field of view - noticeably wider than classic Kellner or Plössl designs.
