Sky-Watcher Red LED Flashlight with Variable Dimming
Sky-Watcher Red LED Flashlight with Variable Dimming Sky-Watcher Red LED Flashlight with Variable Dimming The Sky-Watcher red LED flashlight features 2 LED diodes with continuously variable brightness control, essential for preserving your night-adapted vision during astronomical observation. Red light doesn't trigger the same pupil constriction as white light, allowing your eyes to maintain their dark adaptation - critical for observing faint deep-sky objects. The smooth dimming control lets you adjust brightness precisely for different tasks: brighter for reading star charts or adjusting equipment, dimmer for simply moving around your observing site. Powered by a 9V battery (included), this compact flashlight is an indispensable accessory for any astronomer's...

Omegon Ortho 16.8mm 48° 1.25″ Eyepiece

Planetary observation depends entirely on detail and sharpness. Either you can see the cloud bands on Jupiter or the fine surface structures on Mars - or you see nothing worth mentioning. Orthoscopic eyepieces for planetary observation have a long tradition among experienced observers, precisely because their priority is not a wide field of view but maximum optical clarity. The Omegon Ortho respects that tradition and offers it at an accessible price.

Clean optics, high contrast

The optical design uses just four elements. Every glass-to-air surface is a potential source of light loss and unwanted reflections - fewer surfaces mean a brighter and more contrasty image. The result is high light transmission and contrast that anyone will appreciate when trying to split the components of a close double star. All optical elements carry a full anti-reflection coating, which suppresses reflections further and raises contrast even more.

Sharp edge to edge

Sharpness is not limited to the centre of the field of view - planets stay sharp all the way to the edge. The image is virtually free of aberrations, so you see objects as they truly are, without any distortion introduced by the optics.

Comfortable viewing, protected optics

The soft rubber eyecup serves two purposes. It sits comfortably against the eye during long observing sessions and blocks stray light that would otherwise reduce contrast. A quality cap protects the optics during transport and storage.

Part of the Omegon Ortho range

Omegon Ortho eyepieces are available in three focal lengths: 10.5mm, 16.8mm, and 24mm. This model has a focal length of 16.8mm. All variants have a 1.25″ barrel with a filter thread and fit any standard 1.25″ focuser.
