Optical design
The Omegon SWA optical system consists of five optical elements arranged in groups of 3 or 4 elements - the exact arrangement depends on the focal length. All glass surfaces are treated with fully multi-coated anti-reflection coatings (FMC), which significantly increase light transmission and deliver the maximum number of photons captured by the telescope to your eye. The lens edges are blackened and the inside of the barrel is covered with a special matte black layer. These measures together eliminate internal reflections and unwanted light scatter.
