Binorum UHC 2 Ultra High Contrast Nebula Filter Binorum UHC 2″ Ultra High Contrast Nebula Filter The Essential Tool for Deep-Sky Observation The Binorum UHC 2″ filter stands as the most popular filter choice among amateur astronomers for observing planetary and emission nebulae. This specialized optical accessory transforms deep-sky observation by selectively enhancing the visibility of nebular structures while suppressing unwanted background light that diminishes contrast and obscures faint celestial details. Advanced Selective Wavelength Transmission The UHC (Ultra High Contrast) filter employs precision optical coatings engineered to transmit specific wavelengths critical to nebula observation - OIII (doubly ionized oxygen at 496nm and 501nm), H-alpha (656nm), and H-beta (486nm)...

Omegon SWA 38mm 70° 2″ eyepiece

If you are looking for an eyepiece that opens up the sky and shows deep sky objects in all their beauty, the Omegon SWA 38mm 70° 2″ eyepiece is exactly what you need. The Omegon SWA series represents a new generation of wide-angle eyepieces that combines a modern optical design with thoughtful ergonomics - the result is comfortable, enjoyable observing without any compromise in image quality.

Redesigned body for comfortable night use

The new generation of the SWA series comes with a redesigned body covered in a rubber layer that provides a firm and comfortable grip even in cold night conditions. The new rubber eyecups significantly improve comfort during longer observing sessions - simply place your eye and enjoy the view without any disturbing reflections from surrounding light. These details may sound minor, but after hours spent at the telescope you will appreciate them more than ever.

Wide 70° field of view

The wide-angle eyepiece with a 70° apparent field of view lets you observe large areas of the sky in a single glance - nebulae, open star clusters or galaxies will literally unfold before your eyes. The optical system consists of five optical elements arranged in three or four groups depending on the focal length. This design ensures excellent correction of aberrations and a sharp image across the entire field of view. The edges of the lenses are blackened to effectively eliminate unwanted internal reflections and stray light - the result is high-contrast views of deep sky objects, even when observing from suburban locations.

FMC multi-coating for maximum light transmission

All optical elements are treated with a broadband FMC (fully multi-coated) layer that maximizes light transmission across the entire visible spectrum. Every photon that enters your telescope objective will actually reach your eye - without unnecessary losses on optical surfaces.

Parfocal design - no refocusing needed

All eyepieces in the Omegon SWA range are mutually parfocal. In practice this means that when you switch from one eyepiece in the series to another, you do not need to refocus your telescope - the object stays sharp and you can concentrate on observing. For those who use multiple eyepieces during a single session, this is an extremely practical feature.

The full SWA range includes the following focal lengths:

Focal length Available size
10 mm 1.25″
15 mm 1.25″
26 mm 1.25″ / 2″
32 mm 2″
38 mm 2″

Ideal survey eyepiece for deep sky observing

The Omegon SWA 38mm eyepiece is the ideal choice as a survey eyepiece for visual deep sky observing - it provides a wide field of view, excellent contrast and comfortable use. It fits telescopes with a 2″ focuser and is a great starting point for anyone who wants to get the most out of the night sky. Whether you are observing large nebulae, star clusters or searching for objects before switching to higher magnification, this eyepiece will be a reliable companion at the telescope.
