TS Optics High End Planetary HR 2.5mm 58° 1.25″

The Planetary HR series from Teleskop-Service (TS Optics) is one of the most versatile eyepiece lines available at this price level. It was designed with a clear goal: to deliver premium optical quality for observers who do not want to compromise when viewing planets, the Moon, or compact deep-sky objects. The 2.5mm focal length model is the right choice when you need maximum magnification during good seeing conditions - where every detail of Jupiter, Saturn, or Mars truly matters.

Sharp image across the full field of view

A high-quality planetary eyepiece must meet strict requirements: high contrast, minimal aberrations, and a sharp image not only at the center but also at the edges of the field. The Planetary HR 2.5mm meets these criteria very well. The image stays sharp and bright across the entire 58° apparent field of view, which is exceptional for this type of eyepiece.

Fully multi-coated (FMC) optics on all glass surfaces significantly reduce light loss and unwanted reflections. This results in excellent contrast - a key factor when studying fine details in planetary atmospheres or lunar formations.

Not only for planets

The Planetary HR 2.5mm also performs well on compact deep-sky objects such as planetary nebulae or globular clusters. In addition, eyepieces from this series are a popular choice for projection photography with DSLR cameras or compact cameras, where optical quality has a direct effect on the final image.

Comfortable for long observing sessions

The eye relief is 16mm, which is a very comfortable value. This makes it an eyepiece suitable for eyeglass wearers - there is no need to remove glasses during observation. The rubber eyecup is comfortable during extended sessions and can be adjusted as needed. The eye lens diameter is 20mm, which makes it easy to place your eye correctly and reduces fatigue even after hours at the eyepiece.

Build quality and compatibility

The standard 1.25″ barrel fits the vast majority of telescopes on the market. The solid metal body matches the standards of the High End category and ensures a long service life even with regular use in the field.

Who is this eyepiece for?

TS Optics Planetary HR is a series made for observers who want to get the most out of their telescope. For those who believe that a good eyepiece is just as important as the telescope itself, the Planetary HR 2.5mm is a natural choice.
