iOptron iGuider Guide Camera

The iOptron iGuider guide camera was designed as part of the compact iGuider guiding system and works directly with the iGuide Scope 120 mm guidescope. A standard 1.25″ adapter also lets you connect it to other guidescopes - so it fits neatly into setups where the iGuider system is not your primary solution.

ASCOM Pulse Guiding support

The camera supports Pulse Guiding via the ASCOM interface, which means it integrates naturally with most astrophotography software environments. Please note that ST-4 guiding is not supported - keep this in mind when choosing your mount and software.

The CMOS sensor features a pixel size of 3.75 μm and a resolution of 1280 x 960 px (1.2 megapixels). This gives the camera enough sensitivity to capture a guide star even under moderately dark skies. The 1/3″ format sensor with a chip size of 1.9 mm makes this camera well suited for guiding and for observing planets, the Moon, and double stars. It is not intended for imaging nebulae or galaxies.

Connection and mounting

A USB cable is included in the box. Alongside the 1.25″ barrel, the camera also offers a C-Mount thread for alternative mounting options. The iOptron iGuider autoguider camera is supplied without active cooling, which reflects its focus on guiding tasks rather than long-exposure, low-noise imaging.
