Bresser Junior CM-04 100x-900x Microscope
There is a special moment when a child looks through an eyepiece for the first time and sees a world that is invisible to the naked eye. A drop of water becomes a living stage. A slice of onion reveals the precise geometry of cells. A tiny insect shows details that would otherwise stay hidden. The Bresser Junior CM-04 is designed exactly for that moment - as a first real scientific instrument for children aged 6 and up, one that does not limit curiosity but actively encourages it.
Variable magnification from 100x to 900x
The microscope features a rotating turret with three objective lenses (10x, 20x and 30x) and two eyepieces, giving a magnification range of 100x to 900x. In practice, this means a child can first look at a specimen as a whole at lower magnification and then move smoothly to a detailed examination of its structure. Switching between objective lenses is simple and quick, so children spend their time observing rather than adjusting the instrument. This flexibility makes the microscope a tool that grows alongside the child's interest and knowledge.
Dimmable LED lighting - observe anywhere
To make every specimen visible in the right light, the microscope includes dimmable LED transmitted illumination. The light beam passes through the specimen from below, which is the ideal solution for transparent preparations - thin sections of plant tissue, onion skin or insect wings. The brightness adjusts smoothly, so you can set the optimum contrast for each specimen. Because the lighting runs on two AA batteries (not included), the microscope works anywhere - at home, at a holiday cottage or outdoors - with no need for a mains socket nearby.
Complete kit - ready to use straight out of the box
The Bresser Junior CM-04 children's microscope comes with a full set of accessories so exploring can begin immediately after unpacking. The kit includes ready-made permanent slides, which let children practise using the microscope without having to prepare their own specimens first. Also included is an experiment set for raising brine shrimp (Artemia salina) - a fascinating project in which children can follow the complete life cycle of these tiny crustaceans from eggs to adults. Tools for preparing your own slides are included as well, so a curious child will soon move on from ready-made specimens to their own discoveries.
The kit also contains a smartphone holder that attaches over the eyepiece, letting children take photos and record video directly through the microscope - their first steps into microphotography.

Why choose the Bresser Junior CM-04
A real instrument, not a toy
The CM-04 offers genuine optical performance in a design sized for children. It gives reliable, clear images across the full magnification range and builds real scientific skills from an early age.
No preparation needed to get started
The ready-made slides and the brine shrimp experiment set mean children can begin observing and experimenting immediately. There is no waiting and no complicated setup.
Grows with the child
The wide magnification range, the slide preparation tools and the smartphone holder all give children room to develop - from first observations to their own experiments and microphotography.
Use it anywhere
Battery-powered LED lighting means the microscope is fully portable. Children can use it at home, at a friend's house or out in nature.
