Omegon 2″ to 1.25″ Twist-Lock Adapter
Every astronomer knows the problem. You tighten the thumbscrew to lock in a 1.25″ eyepiece, and it still tilts slightly. Tighten it more, and you risk leaving marks on the barrel. The Omegon Twist-Lock Adapter solves this by design. Instead of applying pressure at a single point, the clamping mechanism spreads the force across approximately 15 mm of surface. The eyepiece sits firmly in place with no risk of damage.
Simple, secure, one-motion locking
Insert your 1.25″ eyepiece or other accessory, turn the locking ring once, and it is held securely. The adapter also centres the eyepiece automatically, so there is no need to adjust its position. A safety groove on the eyepiece barrel is not required - the adapter holds reliably without one.
Leave it in and switch eyepieces freely
If you mainly use 2″ eyepieces but occasionally reach for a favourite 1.25″ piece, you can leave the adapter in the focuser permanently. It works as a fixed 2″ reducer, and you avoid the constant swapping of reduction adapters.
Use your 2″ filters with 1.25″ eyepieces
