Omegon Binocular 40x-800x Microscope
The world under a microscope holds far more than most people expect. Onion cell structures, freshwater organisms, your own prepared slides - all of this becomes accessible the moment you look through the eyepieces. The Omegon Binocular 40x-800x is a full-metal microscope from the BinoView series, designed to suit both beginners and more experienced users - from the first experiments at home to regular use in education.
Six magnification levels for every sample
The microscope offers magnifications of 40x, 80x, 100x, 200x, 400x, and 800x. Three objective lenses (4x, 10x, and 40x) combine with two eyepieces (10x and 20x), giving you the freedom to choose the right magnification for each sample. In practice, this means you start with a wide overview at 40x, get your bearings, and then step up to higher magnification when you need more detail. Both coarse and fine focus controls are available, so you can achieve a sharp image reliably even at 800x.
LED illumination and colour filters
The microscope uses LED illumination, which provides a clean, neutral white light - without the yellow tint common in traditional bulbs. Depending on your sample, you can choose between incident (reflected) light and transmitted light. Both options are available directly on the instrument. A set of five colour filters lets you increase the contrast of your slide even further.
Binocular viewing head - less eye strain, more comfort
Binocular viewing lets you observe with both eyes at the same time. This significantly reduces eye strain during longer sessions and delivers a more natural image compared to monocular microscopes. The head is tilted at 45 degrees and rotates a full 360 degrees. The interpupillary distance adjusts smoothly between 57 mm and 72 mm, making the microscope comfortable for people with different facial anatomy.
Full-metal construction and precise sample positioning
The entire instrument is built from metal - no plastic frames that vibrate when you move the slide. You place your sample on the stage and position it precisely using the cross-stage. The microscope measures 240 x 130 x 300 mm and comes in a black-and-white finish. It is powered by a mains adapter.
Complete starter kit included
Every microscope comes with a kit that lets you start experimenting straight after unpacking. The prepared slides give you something to observe immediately. Fresh samples can be prepared using the blank slides and pipette included. The gel mounting medium lets you turn a fresh specimen into a long-term slide - so you have everything you need for countless experiments right from the start.
