Delta Optical Titanium 50ED spotting scope
The Delta Optical Titanium 50ED is a compact spotting scope that challenges expectations. At just 177 mm long and 537 g, it is one of the smallest 50 mm spotting scopes on the market - yet it makes no optical compromises. The ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass objective controls chromatic aberration effectively, keeping the image sharp and contrasty all the way to the edge of the field of view, with accurate, natural colour rendering.
Delta Optical applies the same optical approach in the larger Titanium 65 ED II model. The short focal length of just 170 mm is made possible by the ED glass, which allows the body to stay compact without sacrificing performance.
Smooth zoom and reliable low-light performance
The scope covers a continuous magnification range of 7.5-22.5x. At lower magnifications it works well for nearby subjects such as birds at close range. At full zoom it reaches distant targets with ease. The exit pupil reaches up to 6.7 mm, so the scope performs reliably at dusk or in shaded woodland. The minimum focus distance is 2.5 m, which means you can observe close subjects without difficulty. The angular field of view is 6 degrees, and the linear field of view at 1,000 m is 105 m.
Waterproof and nitrogen-filled body
The body is fully waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen. The nitrogen fill prevents internal fogging even when the scope moves between very different temperatures. A standard 1/4″ tripod thread lets you mount the scope on any photo tripod - useful for extended observation sessions or nature photography.
Compatible with 1.25″ astronomy eyepieces
The Delta Optical Titanium 50ED accepts standard 1.25″ astronomy eyepieces. To swap the supplied eyepiece, simply turn the locking ring to the left, remove the original eyepiece and insert the astronomy eyepiece of your choice. Fixed focal length eyepieces can provide a wider field of view and sharper edge-to-edge performance - a practical option if you want to try basic observations of the night sky.
