With this upgrade kit you can transform your existing mount into a fully automated GoTo system that will automatically locate and track thousands of celestial objects. There is no need to buy a new mount - a smart conversion is all it takes.

What you get with this kit

The kit includes everything needed to convert the mechanical EQ3-2 into a motor-driven system controlled by the SynScan hand controller. After installation you will have:

Motor drives on both axes (RA and DEC)
SynScan hand controller with a built-in database of thousands of objects
Automatic GoTo pointing and smooth object tracking
Accuracy suitable for both visual observing and basic astrophotography

The SynScan controller lets you select any target from its internal database - star clusters, nebulae, galaxies, planets and stars - and the mount will automatically slew to the chosen object and then track it smoothly.
