Omegon Super LE 12mm 68° 1.25″ Eyepiece
The Omegon Super LE eyepiece series offers sharp, high-contrast views with a wide field of view - without the high-end price tag. The 8-element optical design delivers image quality that rivals more expensive eyepieces: on planets, you can make out fine details in cloud bands and subtle differences in colour gradients. FMC coatings (400-700 nm) on all lenses suppress reflections and keep the image bright even at high magnification. Blackened lens edges further reduce internal reflections and stray light.
Wide 68° field of view
The 68° field of view is one of the series' greatest strengths. When you look through the eyepiece, you barely need to move your eyes - the sky opens up before you and you can focus entirely on the object you are observing. This wide 68° field of view is ideal for star clusters, galaxies, and large nebulae. The Super LE series is available in focal lengths of 18, 14.5, 12, 9, 7, 5, and 3.5 mm, so you can easily build a set that suits your exact needs.
Comfortable for eyeglass wearers
The generous 20mm eye relief, combined with a wide lens, allows comfortable viewing for people who wear glasses - there is no need to remove them when observing. The soft rubber eyecup is pleasant during long observing sessions and can be adjusted to suit individual eye distance. The eyepiece is also free from the kidney bean effect, so the image remains full even when you look towards the edge of the field of view.
Durable, weather-resistant build
The eyepiece body is made from black anodised aluminium with rubberised grip areas, giving you a secure hold even with gloves on. It is resistant to moisture, so night dew or a light shower will not interrupt your session.
