Omegon Super Plössl 6.3mm 52° 1.25″ Eyepiece
The Omegon Super Plössl 6.3mm is a classic Plössl eyepiece with a 52° field of view. It fits any standard 1.25″ telescope and works well for everyday observing. The Plössl design has been trusted by generations of amateur astronomers - it delivers a clear, high-contrast image without unnecessary compromise, and at a price that will not stretch your budget.
A noticeably better view than the eyepiece in the box
Most telescopes come with a basic eyepiece. The Super Plössl is a clear step up. The 52° field of view is significantly wider than you get with a standard Kellner or basic Plössl eyepiece. Instead of peering through a narrow tunnel, you look through a wide window onto the sky. You see more detail, and it is much easier to find and follow objects. Note that the 40mm variant has a 45° field of view.
Anti-reflection coatings for a cleaner image
Every lens element carries an anti-reflection coating, and all lens edges are blackened. Together, these features cut stray reflections and reduce light loss. Light reaches your eye as it should - without unwanted scatter. This matters most when you are studying fine detail, such as the spiral arms of galaxy M51, or when you are observing bright objects where uncontrolled reflections degrade the image.
A full set of parfocal eyepieces
The Super Plössl range covers focal lengths from 4mm to 40mm, with nine options in total. All are parfocal. That means when you switch from one eyepiece to another, the image stays in focus - or very close to it. You spend less time refocusing and more time observing. Whatever the object or the conditions, you will find the right magnification in this range.
