TS Optics TSROTM63 360° Rotation Adapter M63/M68
Rotation adapters are among the most useful tools in astrophotography. They let you rotate your camera to exactly the right angle - without dismantling or readjusting your entire optical train. The TS Optics TSROTM63 rotation adapter offers smooth, continuous 360° rotation in a total length of just 20.9 mm. That makes it a compact solution even for optical setups where back focus distance is limited.
Connection threads
On the telescope side, the adapter connects via an M63x1 male thread directly into focusers with a matching M63x1 female thread - for example the Starlight Feathertouch 2.5″ focuser or a wide range of TS focusers. On the camera side, it offers an M68x1 female thread to accept professional correctors and field flatteners with a corresponding M68x1 male thread.
Precision and stability
Accurate centring is built into the design. The inner ring of the adapter self-centres as you tighten it, so the optical axis stays stable even after repeated assembly and disassembly. The thick walls and long thread engagement hold heavier accessories securely, with no risk of tilt or flex.
You can fine-tune the rotation resistance using five adjustment screws, making it easy to match the feel of the adapter to the weight of your camera and your personal preference. A large knurled locking screw holds your chosen angle in place - and it is easy to operate even with gloves on during cold nights.
Optional M63 thread on both sides
If you need to keep an M63x1 thread on the camera side instead of M68x1, you can add the optional M68a-M63i reduction adapter. At just 1 mm long, it gives you a rotation adapter with M63 thread on both sides at a total assembly length of only 21.9 mm - a practical solution for setups where every millimetre of back focus distance matters.
Who is this adapter for?
The TS Optics TSROTM63 is a well-thought-out component for astrophotographers who want full control over image framing - with no compromise on precision or stability.

Why choose the TS Optics TSROTM63?
Framing a deep-sky object perfectly - whether it is a galaxy, a nebula, or a star cluster - often comes down to small adjustments. Without a rotation adapter, you would need to rotate the entire camera assembly or move other components, which risks losing your focus position and alignment. The TSROTM63 lets you rotate the camera independently, keeping everything else locked in place.
The self-centring design means you do not need to re-collimate or re-centre after rotating. The robust build handles the weight of full-frame cameras and heavy correctors without any wobble. And the compact 20.9 mm length means it works well even in setups with limited back focus distance.
Whether you are a dedicated deep-sky imager or just getting started with astrophotography, this adapter gives you precise, repeatable camera rotation in a small and well-built package.
